Russell began working as Facilities Manager at Ardmore Baptist Church in September of 2010.
He was born in Davie County and raised in the community of Farmington. He attended Ijames Baptist Church outside of Mocksville where he was baptized by the Rev. Franklin Myers on June 8, 1975 and was a member there until joining Ardmore in 2008.
Russell is married to his wife, Laurie Norris McBride, and together they have two daughters, Lola & Reese. In his spare time he enjoys doing anything with his family except shopping. He enjoys golfing, hunting, fishing, and loves camping, hiking, and trips to the beach with his girls.
“My heroes have always been my parents. Someone I wanted to emulate was Jack Lambert, #58 for the Pittsburgh Steelers – awesome linebacker! A quirky thing about me is that as a kid I slept with my eyes open and occasionally do so to this day. I handed it down to Lola (poor girl).”
