Alan Gill began serving as our Church Administrator on January 15, 2020.
He comes to us from Greenville, NC where he served as Director of Administration for St. James United Methodist Church. He served St. James UMC for 16 years in many roles including Director of Contemporary Worship (2004-2011) and Communications Director (2011-2017). He is a native of Bloomington-Normal, Illinois and served as Worship Director for First United Methodist Church of Crystal Lake, IL before moving to North Carolina.
Alan earned degrees in Physics and Mathematics and (in his previous lifetime) worked as a Software Engineer for Computer Analytics Corporation and Electronic Data Systems in Chicago, IL.
Alan and his wife, Julie, were married in 2011. They have three grown children Emmie, Jonathan, and Mattie. They are delighted all three kids have settled in North Carolina and are expecting their first grandchild in May.
Alan is an avid baseball fan (with high hopes for his beloved White Sox) and enjoys making music, live theatre, storytelling, and all kinds of performing arts.
