A very exciting partnership is occurring between two of our ministry partners, City with Dwellings and Samaritan Ministries. Both organizations seek to help our most vulnerable homeless neighbors by providing shelter and food. As of this week City with Dwellings has placed almost 60 individuals in a hotel who are at high risk if they were to contract COVID-19. Samaritan Ministries has agreed to feed these individuals as well as the hundreds that they continue to serve daily through their free soup kitchen. We want to support and encourage this collaboration. So we have organized a “Pack-the-Bus” event to benefit both City with Dwellings and Samaritan Ministries.
Help us “Pack-the-Bus” over the next two weekends! Accepting donations of items on Saturday and Sunday 3-5 PM. The bus is parked right off Miller Street and you can pull your car up right behind the bus where volunteers can take donations right out of your trunk or backseat. Both of these organizations are in need of items to help further their reach of ministry in caring for the homeless. We want to help by packing an Ardmore bus full of supplies that they are in need of. This is a “zero contact” donation opportunity. Can you and your family donate any of the items below? If so we have several drop off times also indicated below where you can pull your car up beside the Ardmore bus parked near Miller Street and volunteers will collect the donations right out of your car and place in the bus. Volunteers will be gloved and masked for your protection as well as theirs. After the below donation days we will drive the bus to City with Dwellings and Samaritan Ministries to drop off supplies.

- To go boxes (preferably with compartments)
- 16 ounce foam cups/lids
- Disposable cutlery kits
- Individual bags of chips
- Lysol spray
- Condiment packets (mayo, ketchup, mustard)
- Coffee
- Sugar
- Pasta
- Marinara/spaghetti sauce
- Seasonings
- Other non-perishable foods
*** Notes family friendly project: Goodie bags for CWD are a simple and fun project for kids to put together: protein, crackers, bottled water, granola bars, cookies, fruit cups, utensils/napkins needed all in a Ziploc bag
