Care and compassion embody the works of our Congregational Care ministry. This ministry is nestled within the community of faith at Ardmore and allows us to practice our belief in caring for others. In learning to care for each other, we are able to better care for those in our Winston-Salem community and beyond. For more information, contact Gina Brock.
Bereavement Team
Serve with compassion as a host, kitchen helper, or food provider for meals we provide families the day of memorial services.
Home Ministry Team
This team ministers to our valued church members who are no longer able to attend or to actively participate in its life and ministry due to age or health. This is done through visits, calls, cards, and special opportunities in which we seek to show love and remind our homebound members that the Lord and their church love and remembers them.
Senior Adult Ministry
Joy in the Journey Team is the fellowship planning team for the senior adults in our congregation. Themed fellowship lunches are planned monthly, September through May. Occasional trips are also planned.
Stephen Ministry
Stephen Ministers are congregation members trained by their Stephen Leaders to offer care to people who are hurting. A Stephen Minister typically has one care receiver at a time and meets with that person once a week for about an hour.
Care receivers are individuals in the congregation or community who are going through a crisis or life difficulty. Potential care receivers first meet with a pastor or Stephen Leader, who assesses their needs for care and matches them with a Stephen Minister. The caring relationship lasts for as long as the need persists.
