Pray Along with Children’s Ministry on this
Day of Prayer – February 8
Sunday Bible Study – Pray for our Children’s Sunday Bible Study teachers as they prepare each week to be present with the children, to learn alongside them, to deepen their own relationship with Jesus, and to help our children keep asking questions about and seeking answers for how God loves them.
Children’s Discipleship – We are integrating more aspects of Discipleship during All Together Ardmore in this first block of 2024. The children study a passage/story from scripture, work to learn and memorize the Lord’s Prayer, move through prayer stations, and take actions to pray for and create something for different groups in our community. Please pray for our children, leaders, and those who will receive the items that children have made. Pray that this time will continue to shape their hearts.
Ardmore Baptist Preschool – Our Ardmore Baptist Preschool serves children who attend our church, but mostly children in the Ardmore neighborhood and the greater Winston-Salem community. The preschool staff work to give their best each day to the children and parents they have the joy and responsibility to nurture. Pray for the staff as they are a witness to the abundant love of Jesus to our community. Pray for the children and their families that the love they receive at our preschool will bear fruit in their lives.
Children – Our children are amazing! They ask big questions and seek the answers through scripture; conversations with parents, mentors, teachers, friends; and through observing people’s actions. They don’t miss a thing! Pray that our children keep seeking (God and answers) and for God to put the right people in their path to help show them The Way. Also pray for our children as they navigate stress and anxiety…many of our children carry that around daily.
Parents – Parenting is such a beautiful, holy, and hard responsibility. They do big work in every small interaction with (and in front of) their child. Pray that they will be able to cultivate their own relationship with Jesus for themselves and out of that abundance they can reflect Jesus in the home.
Passport Kids Camp – We have 16 children who are in 3rd-6th grades joining us June 12-15 at Passport Kids Camp at Eagle Eyre Conference Center in Lynchburg, Virginia. This is an amazing 4 days of camp in which our children are present with God and one another. Please pray that the children will have eyes to see and ears to hear as they learn, worship, and play.
Vacation Bible School – The Children’s Ministry Team has been hard at work clarifying our VBS purpose. This year we are offering a fun and exciting week of faith formation for our church children and children in the community July 15-19. Please pray for the team as they plan, recruit volunteers, and prepare to receive these children. Our theme is Operation Restoration: Mending God’s World. Pray that the spiritual sustenance of this theme will be life-giving to those who serve and those who attend.
