Special Activities

Vacation Bible School

A week long camp for ages 4 to 12 years. Theme based Bible study with games, crafts, snack, music, and much, much more. Usually held in the month of June.

Overnight Camp

Three nights and four days at PassportKids camp (www.passportcamps.org) for children in grades 3 through 6. Theme-based Bible study with games, crafts, worship just for kids, swimming, and much more. This is a time for children to relax, enjoy the outdoors, and deepen their relationship with Jesus.

Getting Ready Classes

A class designed for children in grades 1 through 6 who are asking questions about God and becoming a Christian. Children will be allowed to ask questions and learn about Jesus, the Lord’s Supper, Baptism, etc. They will be sent home with exercises to be completed along with their parent(s). Becoming a Christian is a very important step and should be done so with a clear understanding of the commitment being made by each individual person.

Now That I Am A Christian

The class is for any child in grades 1st - 6th who has made a profession of faith prior to the class. It takes the same structure as the Getting Ready classes. The children will talk and learn about having a continuing relationship with Jesus. We will discuss the difference between saying you’re a Christian and actually being a Christian. We will discuss ways of connecting with God daily, and how they can deepen their faith in their Creator and Savior.

Parent Seminars

These Seminars are just for parents of preschoolers through 6th grade. They will be held throughout the year. Some topics of discussion will be boundaries with kids, the Five Love Languages of Children, building strong foundations for your child, dealing with today’s world and your child, Learning Curves for Children, and other topics as discovered.

Special Age-Appropriate Stuff

The “special stuff” will be planned throughout the year. Petting zoos for preschoolers, mini lock-ins for sixth graders, and scavenger hunts for everyone. We are up for almost anything, so if you have ideas give Miss Melissa a call. Just remember, chaperones are always needed!
