William J. Ireland, Jr. is the eighth pastor of Ardmore Baptist Church. (Click on name to send email.)
A native of Greenville, Mississippi, Dr. Ireland is a graduate of Mississippi College and holds the Master of Divinity and Doctor of Philosophy degrees from Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, Kentucky.
His primary area of emphasis was New Testament studies. He came to Ardmore from Briarcliff Baptist Church in Atlanta, Georgia, having also served churches in Kentucky, Louisiana and Mississippi.
Dr. Ireland is married to the former Virginia Lynn Bridges (Ginny) of Valdosta, Georgia and they have a daughter, Mary Virginia born in 1991.
