Objectives of Core Values
Lordship of Christ Matters: To connect people with the life-changing love and grace of Jesus Christ. (Col 1:15-20)
Scripture Matters: To encourage study of the truths of the teachings, lesson, and moral values found in God’s Holy Word. (2 Tim. 3:16-17)
Prayer Matters: To cultivate a climate of meaningful intercessory prayer for the church and community. (Mt. 7:7-8)
Worship Matters: To lead persons to an awareness of the awe of God and deeper personal commitment through meaningful, relevant, uplifting, creative, quality Christ-centered worship that exalts and honors God. (Ps.95:1-6, John 4:23-24)
Baptist Tradition Matters:
To teach, honor and preserve historic Baptist principles which define our heritage and inform our future.
Mission Matters: To challenge every believer to engage in personal mission which is motivated by a global vision and leads to active support and ministry focused involvement. (Mt. 28:19-20, Acts 1:8)
Fellowship Matters:
To welcome all who choose to come and encourage them to find a meaningful place of belonging through building strong lasting relationships of love for one another. (Rom. 1:16) (1 Cor. 12:4-6)
Spiritual Growth Matters:
To nurture growing personal faith toward Christian maturity through creative Bible-based small group dialogue and study which enables gift discovery, development and use through ministry involvement. (passion, talents, needs, stories) (Eph. 4:15-16)
Stewardship Matters:
To practice the wise and thoughtful investment of our resources: time, talents, facilities and financial resources. (Malachi 3:10)
