Associate Pastor

Tyler (Ty) Talton, Jr. (Email)
has been Associate Pastor since March of 1987, coming
to Ardmore from Union Grove Baptist Church in Kernersville,
North Carolina. A native of Orlando, Florida, he is a graduate
of Furman University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology
and the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville,
Kentucky with a Master of Divinity degree. Ty has completed
a clinical internship at the school of Pastoral Care , North
Carolina Baptist Hospital and has received a Master of Arts
degree in Pastoral Counseling from Wake Forest University.
He is married to our Minister of Music, the former Sandra Anne
Melton of Columbia, South Carolina and they have a son, Tyler,
born in August 1978.

Minister of Music and Worship
Sandra
M. Talton (Email)
began her work as Minister of Music in September of 1994. after
having served 6 months as interim Minister of Music. Born in
Columbia, South Carolina, she is a graduate of Furman University
in Greenville, South Carolina with a Bachelor of Music degree
in church music, and the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary
with a Master of Church Music degree. Sandra is married to
Ty Talton our Associate Pastor, and they have a son, Tyler,
born in August 1978.
Our
Minister to Children
Melissa
Willis (Email)
began work as our Minister to Children on July 1, 2001. She
comes to us from Johns Creek Baptist Church in Alpharetta,
Georgia. A native of Georgia, she is a graduate of Shorter
College with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Religion and Philosophy
and the McAfee School of Theology at Mercer University in Atlanta,
Georgia with a Master of Divinity degree. Melissa is married to Carl
Willis of Lexington, NC and they have a daughter, Mattie, born in 2006.
Our
Minister to Senior Adults
Christa
Warise (Email)
joined our staff as Minister to Senior Adults on May
12, 2002, following her ministry as Pastor of First United
Church of Christ in Winston-Salem. Christa has served previously
on staff at Ardmore as Minister of Youth and Visitation.
Born in Tryon, North Carolina, she is a graduate of Gardner-Webb
University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Religious Education,
and is a graduate of New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary
with a Master of Religious Education degree. She has completed
a clinical internship at the school of Pastoral Care, North
Carolina Baptist Hospital. Christa is married to Ken Warise
of Madison, Tennessee and they have a son, Kyle, born in
1986.
Our
Music Associate
David Lane (Email) began
his work as our Music Associate in July, 2004. He is a native
of Asheville, North Carolina, a graduate of Louisiana College, and
holds the Master of Church Music Degree from Southwestern Baptist
Theological Seminary in Ft. Worth, Texas. He has served churches
in North Carolina and Georgia as Minister of Music and Minister
of Music and Senior Adults. David is married to Susan Deaton
Lane, who is employed by the Wachovia Corporation.
Our
Missions Coordinator
Robert C. Lemons, Sr. (Email) began his tenure as Ardmore's first Missions Coordinator on January
1, 2006. Rob has been attending Ardmore since moving from his
hometown of Martinsville, Virginia, in July, 1981. After studying
Business Administration at UNC-Chapel Hill, he began a 13-year
career in management with CVS/Pharmacy (then Revco D.S.) before
following a call to the missions ministry here at Ardmore. Rob
is married to the former Emily M. Wood of Winston-Salem, North
Carolina and they have two sons, Robert Jr. (Bobby), born in
1999 and Wesley, born in 2001.
